One of DZine.ai’s Discord moderators was kind enough to examine my prompt structure for a home invasion ligature strangling I’ve been testing in an effort to help me sort out the problems I’ve been having with Seedance failing to generate that type of scenario at the level of quality I know it’s capable of, and that I want very much to reliably reproduce. Unfortunately, the information he shared made the output of the test project worse, but I was able to glean enough info to adapt it for this project, which is my version of a death scene from 1981’s Friday the 13th Part 2. After several iterations, it finally produced a take that I’m happy enough with to share with you.

New Serial Killer

Reference images help ensure consistency in whatever project you’re working on, whether image or video. Character reference sheets help lock down character appearance and prevent identity drift. Thanks to a YT tutorial I recently watched about reference sheets, I created one for a new serial killer, and named him Desmond Slade.

New AI Art Gallery

Not all of my fetish-themed ideas are meant to be comics, so I’ve created a new gallery for them called Everything Else. You will currently find a faux movie poster I designed in March, and the character sheet for Desmond.

Someone on a forum I frequent started a thread inviting fellow members to pick their favorite among six young AI-generated women standing against a wall with panicked expressions and their hands raised in surrender. The thread inspired this piece.

New AI Video: “What to Wear”

This is my last ligature strangling unless the cost of Seedance 2 significantly drops, and/or its prompt adherence for this type of action significantly improves. I thought I was close to ironing out various issues, but two subjects interacting with each other and a garrote prop are just asking too much of it, especially for the kinds of details I want in the initial attack and subsequent struggle. Just when I think I’ve got my prompt sorted out, Seedance throws me another curveball. Consequently, iterations are too inconsistent, and the miss/hit ratio is too high.

Alternatively, as my wife so hilariously put it, I need a less expensive imagination. 😛

Upgraded my DZine Membership

I was recently offered a 40% discount to upgrade to the annual version of my Master tier membership at DZine.ai – it’s normally $600. As I previously wrote, their Master tier provides unlimited image generations, even for premium image models, and that’s not hyperbole. Not only do images not count against your monthly credits, as of two days ago they aren’t even calculated anymore when selecting generation parameters. I’m two weeks into my month-long membership to try them out, and couldn’t be happier, so I’m now an annual member, which means you can expect to see more AI comics. I’m also (finally) free of credit card debt, and plan on spending up to $50/wk of my discretionary income on video credits as needed.

I’m getting closer to ironing out ligature stranglings with Seedance. I’m starting to get consistent results with the initial attack, but character performances are still a crapshoot.

Time to stop kidding myself and call it. I am no longer a 3D artist.

I will always be proud of my 3D art portfolio, and will keep ‘3D’ in my name for posterity and branding, but I haven’t touched Daz Studio since last November, and have completely lost interest in creating in 3D. I work solely in AI now, and will never apologize for using a medium that’s helped me realize more of my fantasies in the last three years than I was able to wrangle out of Daz over 16 years.

New AI Platform

Someone on Krea.ai’s Discord server suggested I try an alternative online platform called Dzine.ai (pronounced just like ‘design’). Unlike Higgsfield and Krea, Dzine doesn’t censor pompts; and unlike Budget Pixel, any prompt rejections come directly from the models.

As an added bonus, their Master tier separates image and video credits: unlimited image credits, and 9,000 video credits per month. I asked Dzine if there’s a catch, or whether it’s introductory offer, and why they don’t advertise a number for image credits on that plan. They said the number of credits for images is so high that it would be impossible to spend them all in a single billing period without abusing the system, so they don’t advertise it.

So, I joined the other night, and sure, enough, I’ve generated over a dozen images – even with Nano Banana Pro at 4K – with zero reduction in image credits. My dashboard still reads, “Unlimited”.

They’re the first platform I’ve seen that includes a membership tier with a virtual sky for image generation where the cost per render is concerned, and it’s only $60/month. It is, hands down, the best bargain I’ve seen for creating AI-based comics while still having the freedom to experiment with video.

I was so impressed with how Seedance did with the arrow shooting for Sunrise Assination that I made another one, and this time my character is naked, thanks to Wan 2.7 Image Pro.

Apparently, the video for Laundry Day was an extraordinary stroke of luck. I’ve been trying to adapt the prompt I used for a bedroom strangling and, sadly, I have not been able to duplicate the performance in Laundry Day with any measurable degree of success that meets my standard of quality. As such, I cannot recommend it as a viable AI video model for this type of kill at this time.

I wish I didn’t need Seedance to pull it off, but AI has finally reached a point where ligature stranglings are possible, and the effect is fuckin’ fantastic.
